Outside food court makes it easier to get your grub. The inside selection was similar to the mainland, though with that Hawaii flair we've come to enjoy.

This Costco is great, just like all costcos are. The workers are super friendly, and most are knowledgeable about what is in stock and where to find it. My only real complaint id about Costco in general- they do not accept Mastercard or discover! I like Costco enough to just make sure my debit card has enough money on it before I walk in, but it is still frustrating. I pay for a membership and I come very often, but I don’t get any of the benefits of my current credit card from shopping because only visa is accepted. The food court is also very small, but I love the workers to serve food there. They are friendly and quick and are always doing good work.

Compact, perhaps, but where else are ya gonna get all the basics you need for the boat at Costco-level pricing and quantities? For the boaters, it’s easily bikeable in under an hour from Auke Bay with bike lanes, bike path, back roads, and only one hill that matters. Sure, you pass Safeway and a huge Fred Meyer on the way… but do THEY have a $1.50 hot dog and patio seating??? (Bus also runs there if you’re not into exercise, and they have bike racks if you decide the return trip is too much)

One of the supervisors, Richae, consistently comes across as unfriendly and unapproachable. During a recent visit, her attitude toward customers was noticeably negative and lacked the professionalism I have come to expect from Costco employees. Throughout the interaction, she appeared disengaged and uninterested in providing customer service. Questions were met with a dismissive tone, and the overall experience felt unnecessarily uncomfortable. I came into her line, and she was just on her phone. Totally uninterested in the checkout process. While I understand that everyone has difficult days, there is a difference between being busy and being openly rude to customers. She proceeded with much considerable attitude, far exceeding normal behaviour to me. Plain rude. I wasn't too happy. This led me here. Supervisors should set the example for customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very poor impression and did not reflect the standards that Costco is known for. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and addresses these concerns. I would highly consider it appropriate for management to have a chat with her about customer conduct. Yo

One of the most fun things to me is to visit Costco stores wherever I visit. I know that sounds weird, but each store has a section that stocks items that are unique to the area. This location in Juneau, Alaska is supposedly "the world's smallest Costco," and I have no reason to doubt that claim. This is a compact yet fully stocked warehouse that's a blast to browse! The parking lot is small, and the store is located off the main drag. there's a spectacular towering mountain as a backdrop. This Costco is tiny but has everything you may need. Note that prices, especially on produce, are a lot higher than you'd expect back home. For example, we regularly buy the huge bags of fresh oranges in Las Vegas for $8 a bag. Here, they cost $11. But it's a landlocked Alaskan town, so that's to be expected. I got a kick out of the Alaska-specific items on offer, like value packs of bear spray and clam guns. They sell a lot of gear that's useful for campers and people going fishing, too. There are even crab traps for sale! This location has a very tiny snack bar that's extremely popular with the locals. And yes, their famous hot dog still costs $1.50 here. Note that this location does NOT hav
